Mary Russo, EA
Mary currently has 19 years of experience with small business and tax preparation. She graduated from St. Louis University and holds a B.S. in Accounting. In Addition, she is an enrolled agent with the IRS and is certified in QuickBooks online. She worked at AG Edwards while in college and has a very good understanding of analyzing brokerage statements.
Prior to joining Hottenrott & Associates, LLC, she prepared individual and business tax returns along with monthly bookkeeping. In her spare time, she was a volunteer with AARP helping the elderly and low income prepare and file tax returns.
Mary likes working with clients and helping them organize and gather the necessary paperwork to complete the job. She is married and keeps busy with three sons. In her spare time she enjoys walking, biking and spinning.

Maggie Aldridge
Hi, I’m Maggie!
I’ve been working in accounting for the past 16 years, helping individuals and small businesses stay organized, confident, and ahead of their financial goals.
I specialize in QuickBooks setup and management, along with tax preparation services. Whether it’s cleaning up books, building efficient processes, or helping clients feel more prepared at tax time, I love taking something that can feel overwhelming and turning it into something clear and manageable.
Outside of work, I’m married to my husband Ryan, and we stay busy with our two kids—Easton (9) and Everly (7). Most of our free time is spent at sporting events, traveling whenever we can, and cheering on our kids at their activities.
I truly enjoy building long-term relationships with my clients and being someone they can trust year after year.

Kyla Thyer
A lifelong resident of the Metro East, Kyla earned her B.S. in Accounting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her journey with our firm began as an intern while completing her degree, and she has since transitioned into a full-time role specializing in individual tax returns and small business accounting. To further her expertise, Kyla is currently working toward becoming an IRS Enrolled Agent.
Kyla prides herself on being a reliable resource for her clients. By handling the complexities of tax filings, she ensures her clients can focus on their own work and families rather than worrying about the IRS.
Our virtual, tech-forward approach allows Kyla to stay accessible to clients while maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. When she isn’t at her desk, you’ll likely find her staying active—whether she’s at the gym or heading outdoors for some fresh air.
